Adjunct Faculty

Shanikwa has been Adjunct Faculty for D’Amore – McKim School of Business’ Online Graduate Program since June 2015.

She is instructor for the following courses:

  • Partnership Taxation
  • Taxation of Corporations and Shareholders

The courses explore in-depth knowledge in relevant codes sections and regulations as it pertains to shareholders or partners and they appropriate entity structure.  Professional’s develop specialized skills in relevant case law and application of rules for complex tax situations.  The program is designed for the working professional and the courses are part of the academic requirement to obtain a graduate certificate through Northeastern University.

Text books

Her class size ranges from 6 to 15 students in a session.

The students are executives, partners, and senior managers with a range of 5 to 30 years experience.

In her capacity as Adjunct Faculty she monitors student performance as well as grades and provides thorough and timely feedback on their progress.

She also holds weekly live chat/lecture sessions on technical specific material, and fields and answers any questions that come up during the lecture.

Shanikwa received positive evaluations from the students regarding her lecture delivery style.  In addition, she scores an average of 4.3 out of a possible 5 in each session on the students’ post evaluations.
